크루저, 제인 스트리트와 130억 달러 규모 계약 체결
Quantitative trading firm Jane Street has reportedly signed a $13 billion cloud computing contract with Crusoe. Under the agreement, Crusoe—a data center developer and cloud provider—will grant Jane Street access to graphics processing units (GPUs) through its cloud platform. According to Bloomberg, which cited individuals with knowledge of the arrangement, the contract spans five years.
The specific facility hosting the compute capacity was not disclosed. Crusoe operates or is developing data centers across the United States in Texas and Wyoming, with additional projects linked to Missouri and Virginia. The company also supplements its cloud platform by leasing capacity from third-party data centers. Per Crusoe’s website, it controls 13.6 million square feet (1.26 million square meters) of data center space with 4.9 gigawatts of capacity, though the exact portion currently operational remains unclear.
This would mark the largest cloud contract Crusoe has secured to date. The company has previously executed major capacity agreements with Oracle, Microsoft, and Meta, but those arrangements covered physical data center space rather than utilization of its cloud platform. Separately, Bloomberg reported earlier that Crusoe was pursuing a $3 billion funding round at a $30 billion valuation, noting that investor interest has grown following the Jane Street announcement. Crusoe declined to comment to Bloomberg.
The deal aligns with Jane Street’s recent efforts to significantly expand its computational resources. In April, the firm finalized a $6 billion AI cloud agreement with CoreWeave, securing multi-facility capacity that includes Nvidia Vera Rubin hardware. By June, reports indicated Jane Street was evaluating plans to construct its own data center with between 100 megawatts and 200 megawatts of capacity. Jane Street joins other quantitative trading firms, including IMC and Hudson River Trading, that have recently secured notable cloud contracts.
