Cogent Communications sold 10 data center facilities across the US to an I Squared Capital-sponsored entity for $225 mil

Cogent Communications Holdings, Inc., trading on NASDAQ under the ticker CCOI, announced on June 29, 2026 that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Cogent Fiber, LLC, has completed the sale of 10 data center facilities for a total purchase price of $225 million in cash. The buyer is a newly formed entity sponsored by I Squared Capital.

The 10 facilities are geographically distributed across major US markets: Phoenix, Arizona; Anaheim and Burbank and Stockton, California; Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Elkridge, Maryland; Kansas City, Missouri; Nashville, Tennessee; and Houston, Texas.

Cogent is a facilities-based provider of low cost, high speed Internet access and private network services to bandwidth intensive businesses.
