Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL), a connectivity solutions provider specializing in optical fibers, optical fiber cables, optical connectivity and data centre networks, has announced the receipt of a multi-year Product Award Letter (PAL) valued at more than $1Bn. Under this agreement, through one of its subsidiaries, STL will supply optical connectivity products to a hyperscaler for AI Data Centre build-outs.

STL brings in-house R&D expertise and innovation to fiber optic designs, building AI-ready networks through co-creation with customers and next-generation optical solutions. The company maintains a fully vertically integrated "glass to data center" capability that enables end-to-end optical infrastructure development.

To support this expanded role in AI infrastructure, STL has recently launched the STL Neuralis AI Data Center Portfolio, featuring two key product lines. The AI Whitespace solution utilizes ultra-high-density, pre-terminated fiber cables to support the massive fiber counts required by GPU clusters. The High-Speed Data Center Interconnect (DCI) offering includes the Celesta IBR cable series, which are ultra-compact cables featuring up to 6,912 fibers.

According to Ankit Agarwal, Managing Director at STL, "Under this agreement, STL, through its optical solutions, will support building AI data center infrastructure in the US for this hyperscaler. We are enabling connectivity backbone for the AI data centers."
