Tom's Hardware reports that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is reportedly weighing annual software fees of around $2,000 per GPU for enterprise AI software that 'runs agents on AI factories', a model that could generate $10 billion a year.
If Nvidia monetizes each GPU with recurring software fees, it would add a high-margin revenue layer on top of hardware sales and raise the total cost of ownership for GPU cloud and AI factory operators.
