EPC Power opens Fountain Inn manufacturing facility in Upstate, producing power management and conditioning systems for AI data centers (275 jobs).

EPC Power opened a new 167,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, marking the company's second location in the state and third in the United States. The facility, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, responds to surging global demand for AI data center power solutions and grid stability infrastructure.

The new site will produce EPC Power's "M" and "MRACK" series power inverters—specialized systems engineered to handle the massive, fluctuating power demands of artificial intelligence workloads while maintaining reliable data center operations without excessive strain on local electrical grids. As the only independent, American-owned manufacturer of utility-scale power conversion technology, EPC Power positions itself as a critical domestic supplier in an increasingly constrained market.

The facility is expected to create 275 new jobs and will contribute 27 gigawatts of annual manufacturing capacity immediately upon reaching full production later this month, with the ability to scale to 40 gigawatts annually to meet growing market demand.

Global data center capacity is projected to double by 2030 according to recent market forecasts. This rapid expansion underscores the urgency for domestic, energy-focused manufacturing innovation to prevent grid constraints and ensure reliable power infrastructure for emerging AI workloads.
