Sanko Texas received top permits to construct a $65 million data center facility in San Antonio.

Sanko Texas Corporation is constructing a $65 million plastic pallet and container manufacturing facility in San Antonio. Located at 16586 Watson Road, the 175,500-square-foot building was designed by Kajima Associates. Construction is scheduled to run from November 2026 through April 2028.

In Fort Worth, Mercantile Partners is developing two hybrid office and warehouse buildings at 3588 East Long Avenue. The combined project carries an estimated cost of $50 million and includes a 530,000-square-foot structure alongside a 178,000-square-foot building. Both facilities will feature tilt-up concrete exterior walls and steel roofs. Construction is slated to begin on September 21 and conclude by the end of January 2028. Oncor Electric Delivery Company is undertaking a new construction project in Midlothian. The company will invest $50 million to build a 138,000-square-foot facility. Groundbreaking occurred in October 2025, with completion expected in December 2027. The official filing does not specify a street address.

Meanwhile, the Austin Independent School District is allocating $21.3 million for renovations at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, located at 1012 Arthur Stiles Road. Work commenced in June and is projected for completion in September 2028. The scope of work includes HVAC system repairs and roof maintenance. While the building’s total footprint spans 108,000 square feet, the renovation project will cover 400 square feet.

Phase one of the renovation at Denton’s Pohl Recreation Center, situated at 1900 Chestnut Street, is scheduled to commence on September 14. The $11.7 million improvement campaign will extend through October 2027. Key upgrades include converting an underutilized leisure pool into a two-story fitness center, which will expand the facility’s total fitness space by 22,000 square feet.
