Nvidia has notified customers that AI-related prices will increase by over 15 percent.
Some of Nvidia’s largest customers have been informed that prices for servers containing its AI chips will rise by more than 15 percent, with memory chip costs soaring in many cases, according to a Bloomberg News report.
The price increases will take effect on systems shipped early next year and will impact machines equipped with Nvidia’s flagship Vera Rubin and Grace Blackwell chips, the report added, citing people familiar with the process. The exact increases will depend on Nvidia’s chip generation and memory configurations.
Companies that build servers under contract for large data center operators such as Microsoft, Google, and Oracle have recently informed their customers of the upcoming adjustments. Reuters could not immediately verify the report. Nvidia did not immediately respond to a request for comment outside regular business hours.
Nvidia, whose chips underpin much of the AI infrastructure buildout, is set to report second-quarter results on August 26. The company has become a proxy for the broader AI ecosystem spanning chip makers and companies financing the rapid expansion of data center capacity.
