Oracle announces aggressive global expansion with 12 new datacenters to build localized cloud infrastructure footprint.

Oracle Inc. announced on Monday that it will expand its cloud services infrastructure to include 12 new datacenter regions, extending its presence globally. The expansion will introduce new services in security, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, reflecting the company's strategy to meet evolving customer demands across multiple technology domains.

The new datacenter locations will be distributed across multiple regions, including China, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and South Korea in Asia, along with the Netherlands and Switzerland in Europe. Additionally, two datacenters will be installed in Canada and two in the United States to support workloads the company has contracted with the U.S. Department of Defense.

California-based Oracle serves cloud customers in 195 countries, and the company cited demand as the driving factor behind the infrastructure expansion. The growth reflects increasing global reliance on cloud computing services and Oracle's commitment to serving its international customer base.
