London-based venture capital firm QuantumLight, co-founded by Revolut Chief Executive Officer Nik Storonsky in 2023, has closed its second AI-driven fund at €432 million ($500 million). The vehicle doubles the size of its debut offering as the firm expands its algorithmic approach to technology investments across the UK and global markets.

The fund closed oversubscribed, surpassing its original target 15 months after QuantumLight raised €222 million for its initial vehicle in May 2025. Chief Executive Officer Ilya Kondrashov confirmed the close, noting strong investor demand for data-led capital allocation.

Rather than relying on traditional partner-led sourcing models, QuantumLight deploys Aleph, a proprietary AI platform designed to analyze target startups with limited human involvement. The system screens companies at scale using quantitative signals to identify high-growth opportunities across several key sectors.

“The objective is to establish whether systematic analysis can consistently identify market leaders in an industry traditionally driven by personal networks,” stated Ilya Kondrashov regarding the strategy.

The firm targets investments globally across multiple innovation areas. To date, QuantumLight has backed 27 companies, five of which have achieved unicorn status with valuations exceeding $1 billion. Its current portfolio spans prominent international technology firms, reflecting Storonsky’s emphasis on quantitative metrics developed during his leadership at Revolut alongside co-founder Vlad Yatsenko.

With €432 million in new capital, QuantumLight plans to accelerate its global deal deployment while testing whether systematic algorithms can compete directly with conventional venture models over the long term.
