Sweden's largest power company Vattenfall Group recently announced a cooperation agreement with the UK's Rolls-Royce, and will build 3 small modular reactors (SMRs) in southwestern Sweden. With the explosive growth of the AI and data center industries, Northern Europe, with its abundant, stable, and clean energy resources, will gain significant competitive advantages in the global computing competition and may attract more international computing enterprises to establish data centers and AI training bases. This holds long-term strategic significance for Sweden's and Northern Europe's overall economic development.

From a broader perspective, Sweden's advancement of its nuclear power project reflects the deep logic of global energy transition. Driven by the dual imperatives of climate change pressures and energy security needs, nuclear power is transitioning from a marginalized energy form back to becoming an important option in optimizing energy structure. While Europe once held conservative attitudes toward nuclear power, it is now adjusting its strategy, signaling that the nuclear power industry will enter a new development cycle in the coming decades.
