BTQ Technologies and TIDAL PWR are collaborating to develop a practical reference architecture and procurement framework

BTQ Technologies Corp., a Nasdaq-listed quantum technology company, announced on July 20, 2026 a strategic collaboration with TIDAL PWR, a Texas-based developer of power generation and data center infrastructure for AI and advanced computing. The partnership aims to address a critical gap in the market: helping data center operators move from research interest in quantum systems to practical, large-scale deployment.

TIDAL PWR focuses on solving one of the most important constraints in AI infrastructure—reliable power and scalable data center buildout. As AI, high-performance computing, and quantum systems converge around shared facilities, BTQ believes operators need a clear framework for deciding what to deploy, how to secure it, which vendors to trust, and how to prepare facilities for quantum integration without treating it as open-ended research.

The collaboration will develop a trusted quantum data center reference architecture applicable to future large-scale facilities. The initial scope includes quantum data center design principles, trusted supply chain requirements, vendor and device procurement standards, post-quantum cryptographic security considerations, and a repeatable deployment model for facilities integrating quantum systems into AI, high-performance computing, and enterprise data center environments.

Olivier Roussy Newton, CEO of BTQ Technologies, emphasized that building trusted quantum infrastructure means giving operators a clear path to deployment. By combining TIDAL PWR's focus on power and data center development with BTQ's expertise in post-quantum security, quantum systems architecture, and trusted deployment models, the collaboration aims to define what a quantum data center should look like before market standards are set.

Chad Swensen, President and CEO of TIDAL PWR, noted that quantum represents a natural extension of advanced computing and sees BTQ's practical framework for trusted quantum deployment as beneficial for positioning TIDAL PWR among the first infrastructure developers planning for quantum requirements in future data centers.

BTQ's role will center on solutions architecture, post-quantum security guidance, trusted procurement frameworks, and vendor mapping across the quantum infrastructure stack. The objective is to create a practical blueprint enabling data center operators to evaluate, procure, secure, and deploy quantum-related infrastructure with defined technical and commercial outcomes. The parties intend to begin with an initial planning and architecture track, with potential expansion into deeper technical, commercial, and project-specific opportunities.
