SK Group and NVIDIA expand partnership across AI server factories and memory supply

SK Group and Nvidia have announced a $500 billion partnership to establish AI infrastructure addressing global compute demand. The two companies signed Letters of Intent formalizing the agreement, which spans AI factory construction and AI memory supply.

The partnership builds on decades of technology collaboration between SK Group and Nvidia. It includes SK Telecom's recently announced 2-gigawatt-scale AI Cloud in South Korea, launching in 2027. The facility will deploy Nvidia's DSX platform and Vera Rubin accelerated computing, powered by SK hynix HBM4 memory.

Built on Nvidia's DSX full-stack AI factory architecture—which integrates accelerated computing, systems, software, and partner technologies—the AI Cloud is designed to deliver the lowest token cost at maximum energy efficiency. SK Telecom and Nvidia plan to accelerate large-scale AI infrastructure development across Asia-Pacific, including sovereign, physical, agentic, and enterprise AI services.

Separately, SK hynix is entering a long-term AI memory partnership with Nvidia. The agreement secures Nvidia a stable supply of next-generation AI memory while enabling SK hynix to expand its growth foundation. The companies will co-develop and optimize next-generation AI memory solutions, including HBM, for large language model training, agentic AI, and physical AI applications.
