Sabey Corporation and National Real Estate Advisors announced today that Ares Secondaries funds have invested in Sabey Data Center Properties, LLC, an owner, developer, and operator of data centers across the United States. SDCP is jointly owned and governed by Sabey and National, with National acting as the discretionary investment manager on behalf of its institutional clients.

The platform currently operates six energized campuses totaling approximately 251 megawatts of capacity, with potential to triple that output by 2036 using existing land holdings. The transaction brings in institutional capital to support SDCP's targeted growth strategy while reflecting current strong demand for scaled data center infrastructure driven by cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and enterprise workloads.

Tim Mirick, President of SDCP, stated that welcoming Ares as an investor is a strong endorsement of SDCP's platform and team, and that with Sabey, National, and Ares aligned behind the business, they are well positioned to execute their disciplined growth plan and deliver mission-critical capacity to customers.

Jeffrey Kanne, President and CEO of National Real Estate Advisors, noted that Sabey and National have built a longstanding partnership, and they are pleased to welcome Ares as part of that continued relationship, adding institutional partners that support their disciplined approach to growing their data center portfolio.

Jamie Sunday, Co-head of Real Estate Secondaries at Ares, expressed confidence in the sector and highlighted that through this investment Ares gains access to a quality existing operating portfolio leased to predominantly investment-grade tenants, including large enterprises and hyperscalers, along with a substantial land bank for future growth.

Evercore and Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory, a subsidiary of Citizens Financial Group, served as financial advisors on the transaction.

SDCP operates more than four million square feet of mission-critical space and is recognized as one of the largest privately held multi-tenant data center owners, developers, and operators in the United States. Sabey Corporation was established in 1971 and is headquartered in Tukwila, employing over 270 people across data center, medical and life sciences, education, government and military properties. National Real Estate Advisors, since 2000, has built diversified investment portfolios concentrated in multifamily, data centers, healthcare-related, and mixed-use facilities. Ares Management Corporation is a leading global alternative investment manager with over 644 billion dollars of assets under management as of March 31, 2026, with operations across North America, South America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
