Skanska has signed a contract with an existing client to build a data center in Virginia, USA. The contract is worth USD 94 million, approximately SEK 870 million, and will be included in the company's US order bookings for the second quarter of 2026.

The work involves constructing a new single-story building within an existing campus. The facility will span 17,700 square meters, or 190,000 square feet, and will include four colocation data halls plus administrative space. The scope encompasses full electrical, mechanical, civil, telecom, and security systems, along with interior fit-out and associated site and utility work. The data center is designed for a capacity of 38.4 megawatts.

Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with completion targeted for the second quarter of 2028.
