Dallas, June 16, 2026 — Principal Mineral, as a leader in rebuilding the global strategic materials supply chain industry's "missing middle," today announced the completion of its acquisition of Isola Group (hereinafter referred to as Isola), a leading manufacturer of printed circuit board copper foil laminates and dielectric prepregs. The transaction was completed on June 16, 2026.

Together with Camden Copper, North America's only electrodeposited copper foil producer, this acquisition strengthens Principal Mineral's ability to serve customers across the entire electronics industry value chain. The combined product portfolio enhances manufacturing capabilities and supply chain resilience for critical industries, while bringing together two fundamental materials for advanced circuit boards: copper foil and copper foil laminates.

The company simultaneously announced securing approximately $280 million in new financing to support the next phase of strategic, long-term growth. The financing is co-led by Overmatch Ventures and The New Industrial Corporation, with participation from J2 Ventures, Ensemble VC, and other existing and new investors, and credit facilities provided by Lane42 Partners. This capital financing will be used to support the integration of the combined company, expansion of advanced manufacturing capabilities, continued technology development, and long-term investment in critical supply chain capabilities in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Principal Mineral Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Adam Johnson stated, "The addition of Isola advances our mission to build resilient supply chains capable of powering the world's most important technologies. Through integration with our existing business, Isola enhances manufacturing capabilities that support advanced electronics, helps reduce supply chain vulnerability risks, and ensures customers can reliably access the materials needed for aerospace, communications and satellite, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and energy applications."

Principal Mineral will employ approximately 1,300 people across 10 global facilities, encompassing manufacturing, research and development, technical support, and sales operations. Adam Johnson will serve as Chief Executive Officer of the combined company, and Principal Mineral's existing leadership team will continue to manage the business. Isola President Sean Mirshafiei will lead Isola's daily operations, reporting to Johnson.

Isola Chief Executive Officer Travis Kelly will transition to an advisory role.

Kelly stated, "Over the past several years, Isola's global team has worked tirelessly to transform this company, strengthening our operations, expanding our technology, and continuing to serve customers in a challenging industry environment. I am proud of what we have accomplished, and therefore we are in a strong position to open this new chapter with Principal Mineral. I am confident that their commitment to developing our talent, capabilities, and global footprint will help Isola build on its century of excellence and seize the significant opportunities ahead."

The acquisition of Isola demonstrates Principal Mineral's history of collaboration with employees, customers, suppliers, and local communities, as well as its commitment to responsible integration and operational continuity across facilities. In 2025, Principal Mineral acquired and restarted Camden Copper in Camden, South Carolina, preserving local employment opportunities and protecting this critical U.S. copper foil facility, which supplies defense-grade electrodeposited copper foil for circuit boards used in advanced technology systems.

Principal Mineral Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder Wes Spurlock stated, "This is a continued investment in Isola's employees and customers, as well as an investment in the operational stability and technical expertise that this century-old enterprise embodies. We are committing long-term capital to support manufacturing capability development to deliver the high-quality materials that people depend on every day."
