Roundhill Investments has appointed veteran Citi Research strategist Drew Pettit as its new Chief Investment Strategist
Roundhill Investments, an ETF sponsor focused on innovative financial products, announced on August 24, 2026, that Drew Pettit has joined the firm as Chief Investment Strategist. In this role, Pettit will lead Roundhill's investment strategy and research efforts, delivering insights that help investors and advisors understand the themes driving markets and how to position them. Pettit joins from Citi Research, where he served as a Director of U.S. Equity Strategy and ETF Strategy & Analysis. He led Citi's Thematic Equity Strategy coverage and was the driving force behind the firm's flagship institutional-grade ETF research. A frequent voice on CNBC, Bloomberg, and Yahoo Finance, Pettit was named a Rising Star by Institutional Investor in both the Equity-Linked Strategy and Portfolio Strategy categories.
Dave Mazza, Chief Executive Officer at Roundhill Investments, commented on the appointment. He stated, "Roundhill was built on a simple belief: investors deserve access to the ideas shaping markets before the rest of the industry catches on. Drew is one of the most respected names in ETF research, and he has spent his career identifying exactly those ideas through his thematic work." He added, "Bringing him on board means the same thinking that made him a must-read on Wall Street now works directly for our investors." Pettit responded, "I am more than excited to join the innovative culture at Roundhill. Markets are always evolving, especially in times like these when novel technologies are proliferating." He continued, "Identifying, understanding, and creating tools for any investor to gain exposure to new themes and trends is vital for those looking to differentiate portfolios."
